Reading training is the key to a unique flow of information from the author to the reader. If the “flow” is at the proper volume, then a supporting rapport is bridged between the reader and the author. Hours and hours are spent in junior and senior high schools coaching kids to play sports, to excel; yet, sports are not the primary pathway to learning. Certainly the students’ need to excel at reading is as great as the need to excel at sports. Coaches get fired for non-trophy seasons; yet reading teachers do not because schools have yet to embrace the concept of reading coaches.
