Temptation
by Earl Bergland, 1971

Park butterflies flirt dancing
Demure swans lure romancing.
Coy breezes are ruffling by.
Careening heartbeats lisp the sigh.

Flashing sunbeams wanting hello
Glancing, hoping, impulses flow.
Statue fountains laughing gay
Enticing passions, teddy bear play.

Adoring vines cling hopefully
Beckoning from trellis and tree.
Vivacious flowers wands waving
Mermaid visions desires craving.

notes:
Teenagers are in the park on a spring day.
