“Lonely”
by Earl Bergland, 1970

I'm so weary so lonely
Too tired to even be sad
I'm so weary feeling poorly bad poorly bad

Been walking for a long long time
Looking for the light at the end of the road
If only I could see the light
Then the journey I wouldn't mind

I get so lonely so Goddamn lonely
I'm just having a hell of a time
Can't see any light at the end of the road

There's the sun shining through the day
The moonlight holding the darkness at bay
And still my troubles stay my troubles stay

So weary and so Goddamn lonely
There ain't any light at the end of the road
