I KNOW THAT ABILITY, ATTITUDE, PERSEVERANCE, TIME AND MOTIVATION ARE IMPORTANT ASPECTS OF ACCOMPLISHING GOALS.

ABILITY: Do I have the mental, physical and psychological ability required to accomplish the goal? This is often difficult to determine at the beginning of a project? I must put in writing my thinking and feelings about my ability over like a month's time. Individuals with a passionate need to achieve have overcome great obstacles.

ATTITUDE: Is my attitude similar to others who are successful at doing this? If I have to, do I have a "go it alone" attitude. Will I say that I quit because no else was interested in my success? Do I need a support team to maintain my attitude? Can I get enough help from others? Do I know the tricks of staying positive?

PERSEVERANCE: (For example, most dieting efforts fail because people can only do what they do not want to do for a limited time even with the aid of a support team.) Months and years of practice are boring and tiring. Am I mentally, financially, physically and psychologically capable of doing the task for the required length of time? Do I really need to do this? After I have been beaten, given up and quit, I shall still keep slugging away with exquisite form!

TIME: Can I accomplish the project in the time allowed without too much stress? Is this actually what I need to do with my life for this given amount of time?

MOTIVATION: Do I really have a sincere desire to do this? How important is it? Can I maintain a strong focus? Wanting to do something is different than needing to do something. If the goal is difficult, then there must be a demanding need to do it. There must be a realistic chance of success.

Where or what is the source of this need to do this project?

Is this coming from within me or from other sources?

Is this project a stepping-stone to a larger goal?

Are there periodic rewards to help my motivation?

Can I arrange tasks in such a manner that I shall win regardless of the outcome? For example, just putting on sweat clothes without doing exercise could be winning.

How often during the day or week is it applicable to ask "Is this that I am about to do directly related to achieving my goal?" _____________________________________________________

Is my goal more important than most of my distractions?
_____________________________________________________

How can I prevent the financial stress from overpowering my motivation?
____________________________________________________________

Will my pride prevent me from asking for help?
____________________________________________________________

When all else fails, will my pride keep me going?
____________________________________________________________

When all else fails, what will keep me going?
____________________________________________________________

I Must Believe That I Have A Chance To Win.
I Must Be Creative In My Effort.
I Must Arrange Things In Such A Manner That I Can Win.
I Must Be A Constant River Of Energy.
