Acquisition
by Earl Bergland, 2009

The lesson to be learned from super hero stories is not that good beats bad but how evil bad can be. The extent of bad is greater than the extent of good and more difficult to reverse.

Bad is genetic to acquisition. Acquisition without prudence and discipline shall have dire results. Acquisition must have a noble goal such as food, shelter and safety - beyond self. A noble goal provides boundaries, a gyroscope for the passion of acquisition.

The passion of acquisition with a noble goal might counter weight the evil of bad. Acquisition in the pursuit of a noble goal is to civilization as the fragrance of flowers is to the drifting breeze.

Can one passionately love/worship who or that which one cannot fear?
